Paternity Testing

In every situation, paternity test results have the power to change lives. GeneMatch brings you the combined advantages of exceptionally skilled DNA scientists, advanced technology, and a well-trained, reliable customer service force to help you make life-changing decisions with confidence. Our laboratory procedures ensure your test results are 100% accurate, and our knowledgeable staff will help you understand every aspect that you need to know about the paternity testing process.

GeneMatch provides three paternity testing options for you to choose from. You might also want to visit our Special Tests page for other testing options.

In-home paternity test. In an in-home paternity test, you have the convenience of choosing the time and place to collect your DNA samples while keeping your test strictly confidential. We will send you an easy-to-use DNA collection kit, and you can send the DNA samples back to us for testing. In-home paternity test results are used for personal knowledge only and may not be accepted in a legal forum.

Legal paternity test. The legal paternity test option uses a Chain of Custody sample collection and processing procedure that makes the test results acceptable to courts and other government agencies. We will schedule sample collection appointments for all parties (child, mother, and alleged father) at our convenient collection sites.

Prenatal paternity test. Our prenatal paternity test allows you to determine paternity for an unborn child who is in the 10th to 24th week of development. An OB-GYN collects the prenatal samples, which we test together with cheek cell samples from the mother and alleged father.
