In a standard paternity test, a child, an alleged father, and the mother are all tested. The mother’s participation is recommended to aid in the analysis, but is not required. The testing technology GeneMatch uses is highly advanced, so that we can determine paternity even without the mother by performing additional analytical procedures.
The fee for a legal paternity test is $420 with or without the mother. Additional children or alleged fathers may be tested for $195 each. You may start a standard paternity test with a $100 deposit.

Once we receive your deposit, we arrange for DNA sample collection appointment at one of our sites. We have the largest network of collection sites in the industry, and we will provide you with a convenient, local appointment.
Sample collection is performed by a trained professional following the Chain of Custody procedure. This procedure verifies the identities of the tested parties and ensures the integrity of the samples throughout the testing process. Cheek cell samples are collected using the painless buccal swab, a long cotton swab that is gently rubbed against the inside of the cheek to collect loose cells.
There is a $70 sample collection and coordination fee for each standard paternity case. This fee is for one child and one alleged father; the mother is collected free of charge. The sample collection fee for additional children or alleged fathers is $35 each.

Once our laboratory receives all samples, the samples go through the DNA Testing Process. Samples are divided in two and tested by independent teams for complete accuracy. Results are analyzed by one of our PhD scientists, who perform statistical calculations that show if the tested man is the biological father.
Results are ready for delivery 5 working days after the lab receives the samples. Express Testing Service (1-day and 3-day) are also available. As long as the balance is fully paid, we send the results via first class mail free of charge; you may also request expedited delivery via fax or courier.
